Who We Are

Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) is the largest organization for girls in the world. Our mission is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. Through activities in science and technology, business and economic literacy, and outdoor and environmental awareness, Girl Scouting provides girls with opportunities for fun and friendship while fostering the development of leadership skills and self-esteem.  Founded by Juliette Gordon Low in Savannah, Georgia, on March 12, 1912—100 years ago—Girl Scouts of the USA was chartered by the United States Congress on March 16, 1950. Today, there are 3.2 million Girl Scouts: 2.3 million girl members and 890,000 adult members working primarily as volunteers.

What We Do

In Girl Scouts, girls develop their leadership potential through activities that enable them to discover their values, skills, and the world around them; connect with others in a multicultural environment; and take action to make a difference in the world

Girl Scout Mission

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.
The Girl Scout Promise

On my honor, I will try:
To serve God and my country,
To help people at all times,
And to live by the Girl Scout Law.
The Girl Scout Law
I will do my best to be
honest and fair,
friendly and helpful,
considerate and caring,
courageous and strong, and
responsible for what I say and do,
and to
respect myself and others,
respect authority,
use resources wisely,
make the world a better place, and
be a sister to every Girl Scout.
The Girl Scouts continue to be very appreciative of St. Paul's and its congregation for their continued support and patience with our use of the church.
Scout Troop 55004 meets at St. Paul's UMC every other Sunday afternoon from 2:30 to 5:00.  The troop serves girls from kindergarten through 12th grade.  To learn more about current troop activities please contact:
